Yasay’s Facebook post came after the controversial e-mail exchanges between the staff of Vice President Leni Robredo and some of her US-based supporters regarding plans and strategy to oust President Duterte. The controversy was called #LeniLeaks. Robredo has denied the accusations that she is involved in a plot to oust Duterte and called #LeniLeaks a malicious. Other people who were involved were billionaire philanthropist Loida Nicolas-Lewis, her sister former Commission on Filipinos Overseas head Imelda Nicolas and lawyer Ted Laguatan. Meanwhile, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar warned the groups who wants to oust PresidentRodrigo Duterte.
In a Facebook post of Foreign Secretary Perfecto Yasay Jr., he called anyone plotting to oust an elected president”despicable traitor and an enemy of the state.”
