At MWC 2017 we will be witnessing a spree of new devices that are going to be launched later this year. LG has also scheduled a date for announcing its upcoming flagship device LG G6 which will be the successor of the last year’s LG G5. The handset will be announced on 26th of February in Barcelona, and LG has already started sending invites for it with a caption that says “See More, Play More.”
A few days back we have seen a teaser video that said the upcoming handset would be featuring a big screen but the size was not mentioned. Moreover, it will come with a compact body for one handed usage and fit comfortably into the packets. It will also be a waterproof device and expected to come out of the box with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat Operating system.
Well, we are obviously going to see improvements over its predecessor, LG G5, which came with 5.3-inch Quad HD display resolution, which can crack up the brightness levels up to 900 nits. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM which was a 1GB bump from G4 that has 3GB RAM. The onboard memory is at 32GB that could be extended via microSD card slot. It would be running on the LG’s custom interface based on the Android Marshmallow 6.0.
Coming to the camera, the device sports a 16-megapixel image sensor as well as a wide-angle 8-megapixel resolution on the rear side. The front facing camera module is of 8-megapixel resolution. The device is measured at 7.7mm thickness and weighs 159 grams. The LG G6 will be competing against the flagship models from Nokia. Samsung, Sony, and few others.
