Meizu hasn’t come up with as many devices as compared to its competitor. It looks like finally Meizu is ready to break this barrier as it is tipped to launch their much anticipated smartphone, the Meizu M5S. Though the device is yet to be launched; news from the last few months indicate how this device will look in terms of design as well as looks. Lets look at the technical specifications to understand more about this device.
Coming to the tech specifications, the Meizu M5S is powered by 1.3 Ghz Octa Core processor, coupled with 2/3/4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16/32/64 GB of internal storage, with a dedicated SD card slot, which can accept micro SD card for more than 128 GB.
Lets look at the camera. The device rocks with a 13 MP rear facing camera with features like dual tone LED flash and other features like PADF and 1080p video recording capability. The front facing 5 MP camera is a fixed focus sensor, with 720p video recording capability.
The device sports a 2930 mAh Li-Ion non removable battery, which supports fast charging. The device runs on Android Marshmallow operating system with custom skin on the top. Looking at these specs sheet, one can guess the price tag will vary from $150 from 2 GB RAM and 16 GB variant to $300 to 4GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage.
In conclusion, this is not a flagship device or a premium device. The Meizu M5s is majorly a budget oriented device with decent hardware and above average built quality with an impressive price tag (based on our speculation). In short, there is nothing extraordinary about this device; that doesn’t mean this device is not good. This is the device which could be popular in China and India.
