Asus launched their much anticipated selfie centric phone, the Asus ZenFone Live. In terms of specifications, this is a mid-tier smartphone, however, it is bundled with many photo filters and additional features, which makes this phone a camera centric smartphone.


In terms of built quality, the device is made using premium aluminium, all metal unibody design, and comes in different colors including rose gold, gold and blue high. The finger print sensor is missing however. Lets look at the technical specifications to understand more about this device.


The device is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Oct Core processor, coupled with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB internal storage with a dedicated SD card slot; the device can accept micro SD cards up to 128 GB. The Asus ZenFone Live is equipped with a 5 inch ISP LCD screen, with 720p resolution. On successful registration, Google also gives 100 GB of cloud storage for free.Asus Zenfone Live



In terms of camera capabilities, the device sports a 13 MP rear facing camera (1.4µm pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and 82-degree field of view), with 1080p video recording capability, backed by single tone LED flash; on the other hand, it houses a 5 MP selfie camera, which can also record 720p videos at 30fps.


The camera app of this smartphone is equipped with many features. To mention a few, there are many options to edit facial features  – skin color, size of eyes, even remove skin blemishes. Photos can be directly uploaded into FB or Instagram.


Under the hood, the device runs on Android Marshmallow, with custom skin on the top. Everything on this device is juiced up and a 2650 mAh Li-Ion non user replaceable battery can be charged via micro USB. In addition it also supports USB OTG. As of now, there is no information regarding the pricing or availability of the smartphone.
