In his first start as world No. 1, Dustin Johnson had the same result that got him to the top of the mountain: a win. This time, that win came on top of a mountain.

Johnson finished at 14-under 270 on the tight, tree-lined and tricky golf course that required aggressive lines, patience on the poa annua putting surfaces and the courage to execute. Johnson showed off that courage on the final hole, finding himself in an awkward stance in the left side fairway bunker, needing to make a par to avoid a playoff. With a fade stance and a tall tree directly in front only further promoting a dangerous push shot, Johnson executed and found the green for a simple two-putt to finish off the title with a closing round of 3-under 68.
