Along with the P10, Huawei also launched one more flagship smartphone under its Honor lineup. The Huawei Honor V9 is the first device, from the Huawei lineup which packs powerful hardware and premium design as well. The OEM has really pulled of a good smartphone this time, with premium design, powerful hardware and affordable price tag (compared to competition).
Talking about its design, the device comes with all metal unibody design. From the first look anyone can say that, this design is mainly inspired by Apple’s iPhone 7. The device will be available in multiple shades, inclusive of the Blue, Gold, Red and Silver. The device measures 6.97 mm at its thickest point and weighs 184 grams. Lets look at its technical specifications, to understand more about this device.
The Huawei Honor V9 is powered by their own Kirin 960 Processor with 6 GB RAM and either 64 or 128 GB of internal storage, backed by hybrid slim slot. The device houses a massive 5.7 inch QHD LTPS LCD touchscreen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Moving towards camera department, the Huawei has continued to use their same dual camera setup, consisting of one monochrome sensor and a normal sensor (12MP +12MP). However, there is no Leica branding. If we look at the selfie camera, the 8 MP sensors with F/2.0 aperture, takes care of selfies with 1080p video recording capability. The main camera can record native 4K videos at 30 fps.
Everything on this phone runs on 4000 mAh Li-ion non user replaceable battery, which supports fast charging capabilities via USB type C port. The Android Nougat is the operating system running with custom skin named EMUI 5.0.
The 64 GB variant of the Huawei Honor V9 retails at $435 and the 128 GB variant retails at $550. The device will be initially available in China, starting from February 28th, for the preorder purposes.
