The successor for the Huawei P9, the Huawei P10 was unveiled by Huawei in MWC Barcelona. Though, the device looks identical, there are many changes and improvements with respect to design, built quality and features.

The finger print sensor is now located at the front of the device, whereas, its predecessor had finger print located at the rear end. Though, this will not make much of a difference, finger print sensor on the front side always feels premium. The device is now available in multiple colour options including, Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, Graphite Black, Dazzling Gold, Dazzling Blue and Greenery.Huawei P10 and P10 Plus

Moving towards technicalities, the device sports a 5.1 inch IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen (Corning Gorilla Glass 5), of 1080p resolution. Though many OEM’s offer 2k resolution at this price tag, according to Huawei officials, the 1080p screen is more than enough. For multimedia users, there is a model with 5.5 inch 2k IPS-NEO LCD capacitive touchscreen.

Both devices are powered by, their own in bread HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC, which was unveiled few months back. In terms of RAM and storage, the P10 comes in either 32 GB or 64 GB internal storage, with 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM. The P10 Plus, offers an additional 6 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage, with additional SD card slot, on both devices.

The Leica powered, dual camera setup is the main attraction of the show. Both devices feature the same Dual 20 MP + 12 MP camera, with OIS as well as laser and phase detection autofocus. The video recording now goes up to 4K, for the first time in Huawei smartphone history. The 8 MP F/1.8 sensor serves as the selfie camera, that can record 1080p videos at 30fps.
