Huawei launches their mini flagship of the year, the Huawei P10 lite, which features similar design language that as the original device. However, if we look at the tech specifications, the mini version is slightly under powered compared to the flagship.
If we look at the design and external appearance, the device looks like it has inherited the premium look from its big brother. As the all glass design is coming back to the lime light again, the device sports all glass unibody design with different shades, including Gold, Black. The final touch will be ceramic sand blasted, to provide a good grip to the user.
Lets look at the technical specifications of the device to understand more about this smartphone.
The Huawei P10 lite is powered by their in-house Kirin 658 Octa Core processor, along Mali-T830MP2 GPU. This CPU is incarnated with 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage, along with a dedicated SD card slot, which accepts micro SD cards up to 2TB. The 5.2 inch IPS LCD screen is protected by unknown tempered glass, with a 2.5D curved finish.
Moving towards camera department, there is a step backward here. Unlike Huawei P10, the dual camera setup, powered by Leica is replaced with a single 12 MP shooter, with F/2.2 aperture (to cut the cost of production). A 8 MP selfie camera, now comes with portrait mode as well. Both modules can record 1080p video footage at 30 fps.
In terms of power, the device is equipped with 3000 mAh Li-Ion battery (non user replaceable), along with fast charging capabilities. The EMUI 5.1 is powered by Android Nougat with software tweaks including hand gestures, power and performance mode.
The device will be available from 31st March, preorders from UK starts from 17th March midnight. The device is priced at £299, for the unlocked version and will be exclusive for Arphone Warehouse, EE, and Vodafone in UK. The device will be available on 7th of April globally.
