St. Patrick’s Day is in nine days, which means you better have your green ready to wear and prepare to drink green beer and eat green bagels all day.
The Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL are getting into the spirit with a specialty jersey that will have their players looking like leprechauns for their March 17 against the Indy Fuel. No word if Warwick Davis and Jennifer Aniston will be on hand to celebrate their wonderful 1993 movie.

Not only will the Wings wears these jerseys to celebrate the great Irish holiday, but the ice at the Wings Event Center will be green during the team’s 36th annual ‘World Famous’ Green Ice Game.
Here’s what the ice looked like during last year’s game:

All of the game-worn jerseys will be up for grabs during a live post-game auction with net proceeds benefiting Buy Local of Greater Kalamazoo.
It’s also $2 beer night and Guinness and a “variety of Irish cocktails” will also be available. I’ve got a flight to book right now.
