LG launched a renamed version of 2017’s LG K4 in US, exclusive for Cricket. The LG Fortune is the entry-level smartphone, that houses everything that a flagship smartphones has. The device houses a 5 inch 720p IPS LCD screen.
In terms of built quality, there is nothing exceptional. The device feels a bit cheap, due to the fact that, it still is built using all plastic. The textured back panel most likely provides enough grip for the user. To be frank, there is no change in terms of design from LG (since the last three years). On the contrary, their flagship smartphones are the best with respect to design.
Lets look at the technical specifications, to understand more about this device. The LG Fortune is powered by SD Quad Core 1.1 GHz processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 220), coupled with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB on-board storage, with a dedicated SD card slot. The LG Fortune offers only one SIM slot, however, the international variant comes with dual SIM slots.
The device supports 4G LTE, with all the major bands in US. In terms of camera, the device houses identical 5 MP cameras at the rear as well as a selfie camera, with 720p video recording capability. The finger print sensor is mounted on the rear hand, just beneath the camera.
Moving on to the battery, the device offers user replaceable 2500 mAh Li-Ion battery, without any fast charging capabilities. In terms of operating system, the device runs on Android Marshmallow, with custom LG skin on the top.
As of now, the device is exclusive to Cricket, with a price tag of $89.99, without any contract. This is the device for those, whose intentions are calling, chatting and basic browsing. If you are looking for even an entry-level gaming device, just go with anything other than LG Fortune.
