Nokia, the most famous mobile company is back in its business by launching three Android powered smartphones in MWC Barcelona. The Nokia 6 now available world wide as well as, other two new devices, The Nokia 3 and Nokia 5 are also added to the lineup.
As we all know, the Nokia 6 was launched earlier this year in China. However, the device had many shortcomings, like having no Google Play service support. Nokia has finally fixed everything in their new version. All three devices comes with Google Pixel like software experience (Android Nougat 7.1.1), and no bloatware what so ever. So, lets dig deep to understand more about these three musketeers.
First and Foremost, the Nokia 6, is the most powerful among the lot. It sports a 5.5 inch 1080p IPS LCD screen, protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 is powering everything, coupled with either 3 GB or 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM. In terms of storage, the device comes either in 32 GB or 64 GB of built-in capacity with SD card expanding capability.
In terms of camera capability, the device is equipped with a 13 MP rear facing camera, along with a 8 MP front facing camera. The main camera can record 1080p videos at 30 fps, however, the other sensor maxes out at 720p.
The 3GB/32GB is priced at €230, however, the 4GB/64GB comes with model name ARTE, with €300 price tag in Europe.
The second device is, the Nokia 5, which also sports all metal unibody design, but with a twist. Instead of diamond cut edges, now the device sports an all curved design, which feels good in hand as well as easy to grip on. The Nokia 5 houses a 5.2 inch 720p IPS LCD screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass, powered by Same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC, backed by just 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB internal storage, with a dedicated SD card slot, with up to 128 GB micro SD card support.
In terms of the camera, the device rocks with a 13 MP rear facing camera and 8 MP front facing camera. The main camera can record 1080p videos whereas, the front facing camera maxes out at 720p. Though, this is a budget device, it packs finger print sensor. Everything is juiced up by a 3000 mAh Li-Ion non user replaceable battery, with fast charging capability. With color options like Tempered Blue, Silver, Matte Black, Copper.
The device is priced at €190. We think, this is going to sell like hot cakes.
Finally comes the Nokia 3, the cheapest of the lot. Although, the device does not sport all metal unibody; it still looks premium due to its metal backbone, with colorful polycarbonate shell, just like good old Lumia days. The device is equipped with a 5 inch IPS LCD 720p screen, coupled with Mediatek SoC, with 2 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB internal storage, with a dedicated SD card slot.
To cut the cost of production, the finger print scanner has been removed from €140 Nokia 3. In terms of camera capabilities, the device is equipped with identical 8 MP camera at both ends, with 720p video recording capability. There is a 2650 mAh Li-Ion non user replaceable battery.
Though, all three devices look great with good hardware, there is no USB type C port as well as, all three devices are tipped to be launched in Q2 of 2017.
